Pastor Lonnie Stewart
Pastor Stewart was born in Shelbyville, Illinois and has been born again and filled with the Spirit since 1983.
After Pastor Lonnie was born and filled with the Spirit his life began to take on new meaning and purpose. But it wasn’t until he was introduced to the uncompromising Word of God and started operating in revelation knowledge that he began to experience the fullness of God’s blessings in his life.
Pastor Lonnie served as associate Pastor of New Life Faith Christian Fellowship of Urbana, IL from 1984 to November 1996. In November, 1996 Pastor and his wife Theresa began Liberty Christian Church which later became Liberty Life Church here in Mattoon, Illinois located at 11th and Broadway.
Both Pastor Lonnie and Theresa have a hunger for God and a deep love for His people. They have a vision to see all of Mattoon and the surrounding area come to know “The Christ” in a personal and real way. Lonnie teaches and preaches the Word of God with boldness and simplicity. Signs, wonders, and gifts of the Spirit accompany his messages.
Ministerial Credentials
In November of 1990, Pastor Lonnie was ordained into the ministry by Dr. Buddy Harrison and also serves as Central Illinois District Rep for F.C.F. International.
